Ski Boat Driver Level 2 Award Courses and ICC.
British Water Ski & Wakeboard aims to improve the standard of ski boat driving in the absence of any legislation or licencing system in the UK.

As a British Water Ski Boat Driver Award training center, we offer courses which will enable you gain this award, together with an International Certificate of Competence which most European countries require for operating a boat on their waters.

Why should I qualify if it is not necessary in the UK?
The Ski Boat Driver level 2 Award (SBD L2) is now recognised as the benchmark standard of driving skills at clubs throughout the UK If you take and pass the SBD L2 course, you will be issued with the mandatory European counterpart – the ICC (International Certificate of Competence) The majority of clubs in the UK require you to hold an SBD L2 for you to drive on their water. If you wish to take a British Water Ski & Wakeboard Instructor qualification, holding the SBD L2 is a minimum requirement before you take a course. As an SBD L2 holder you automatically receive a discount on our Approved Boat Insurance Scheme for your own boat.
